Decades ago, Michael's great-grandfather was making a pine liqueur according to an old secret recipe - at that time, however, only for household use. Michael and Max were so enthusiastic about this liqueur, which has now been passed on to Michael's father, that they made a few bottles for themselves on their own.
When more and more friends and acquaintances asked about the unique liqueur, the idea slowly developed to make the mountain pine liqueur accessible to a wider audience.
In the Karwendel Nature Park, they finally found the perfect partner who enabled the two founders to officially collect the cones. In return, 1.928% of AlpPine Spirits gross sales flow into the nature protection of the Karwendel Nature Park (1928 the year Austria's oldest protected area was founded).
The "Zapfenstreich" is now an official specialty of the Austrian nature parks and the first specialty of the Karwendels nature park - a great honor that the two of them want to live up to with a lot of heart and commitment! A real Tyrolean specialty.
