What is CUCHA vegan preserves?
We are a canned vegetable company where we are dedicated to converting the most traditional recipes of Spanish cuisine into vegan ones.
Our values reflect social concern for health and the environment.
We present two products: ANCHOVE and VOQUERÓN.
With these recipes, the vegan reinterpretation of the well-known typical preserves of Spanish cuisine, we are committed to a healthy and sustainable diet. Based on zucchini and suitable for all types of diets, both products are very natural, have no added salt, no artificial preservatives, no added aromas, or colourings.
The idea of making CUCHA a reality arose while we were searching for a new project that was in line with our way of life and way of being. We find, then, a space that has not yet been conquered within the existing vegan market: that of fish substitutes, beyond tuna. In the month of July, we did a pilot test and it worked so well that we decided to take the project to a second level.
Since the idea came up in April 2021, the road has not been easy. After a lot of patience, perseverance and work, we launched CUCHA Handcrafted Vegan Preserves.
Some of our history
The first phase of this innovative project is to reinterpret the most traditional and well-known canned fish in Spanish cuisine with a vegan perspective. In the second phase, we would love for the preserves to be 100% organic.
CUCHA hits the market with two products:
• Anchove, reinterpretation of anchovies in oil.
• Voquerón, reinterpretation of anchovies in vinegar.
The particularity of both is that they are 100% vegetable and, therefore, 100% vegan. The flavour, despite being made with a zucchini base, that is, without products of animal origin, is very similar to the original ones and they are perfect to eat on their own (tapa type), on toast with tomato or avocado or assorted salads.
We have a special concern for the care of the environment, for this reason, the preserves are vegan, but in addition, we minimize the use of plastics in the production process and the vegan preserves are presented in glass jars. In addition, in our communication strategy we include awareness of the state of the oceans.
Currently, they are immersed in making these tasty preserves known and working on two new products, which they hope to be able to launch during 2022.

CUCHA vegan preserves made by hand, is dedicated to the artisanal elaboration and sale of vegetable preserves. The three of us, with different profiles, make this a viable project. María, with more than 10 years of experience in different kitchens, is specialized in vegan and oriental cuisine. Martina, the youngest, has been dedicated to both hospitality and digital marketing for more than 15 years and lastly, Noemí, also with more than 20 years of experience in commercial and marketing departments, brings her strategic and management vision.
