75cl • AOP Côtes du Roussillon GRAPE VARIETIES • 50% Macabeu, 50% Grenache Blanc TERROIR • Vineyard in the North-West part of the Pyrénées Orientales department, facing Canigou (Alt 2784m). With breathtaking views, the vines cling to terraces of schist, limestone and granite soils. VINIFICATION • Cold settling, racking, separate vinification with fermentation and aging for 10 months in Macabeu barrels (demi-muids). Assembly and light filtration. TASTING • Clear, intense yellow color. Floral aromas (yellow flowers) with some exotic nuances. Notes of ripe yellow fruits. On the palate, a round attack. Textured wine. In the heart of a breathtaking landscape, the vineyard is located at the foothills of the Eastern Pyrenees, between 250 and 400 meters above sea level, facing the Pic du Canigou. The Syrah, Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc and Macabeu vines cling to terraces with limestone and gneiss soils. Situated between the Pyrenees to the south, the high Corbières to the north and the Mediterranean to the east, the Mas des Montagnes vineyard is planted on a mosaic of schist, limestone, gneiss and granite terroirs. Acquired in 2007, part of the vineyard on the Cuxous plateau belonged to the family of Simone de Lorgeril, an aunt of Nicolas de Lorgeril. It is distinguished by its mountain atmosphere between sky and sea: the vines cling to terraces on steep slopes. In this high-altitude vineyard, in the Côtes du Roussillon and Côtes du Roussillon Villages appellations, full-bodied, gourmet and spicy wines are born, benefiting from the nighttime coolness of the Pyrenees which tempers the heat of the Mediterranean climate.
