Cloves are the king of spices, an evergreen tree, cultivated in Madagascar since 1900. The pink buds, harvested, selected by hand and dried. Natural antiseptic and aphrodisiac, it has an intense aroma and light spiciness, suitable for perfuming sweet or savory dishes: fruit, biscuits, creams, puddings, mulled wine, herbal teas or liqueurs. Also try it to make masala for meats or vegetables. Coming from the northeastern area of Madagascar, cloves offer an intense aroma with notes of mint and light spiciness. It is used with cinnamon for mulled wine and strudel, but also as an accompaniment to aged cheeses, sweet and sour vegetables, game marinade, boiled meats and meat broths.
