Mace

What is mace? Mace is the part that covers the seed of the evergreen plant Myristica fragrans, known as nutmeg. With a sweeter and more delicate flavor of nutmeg, ideal for flavoring risottos and soups. In the kitchen it is used for sauces, meat and soups, or grated on fish, shellfish and stewed fruit; in the confectionary field it is combined with ginger and cloves or used in mulled wine. Also try it with hot chocolate or sweet preparations.
