Quetsch brandy - 45° - 70 cl

Quetsch is a great classic brandy in Alsace. 

It’s “the” Alsatian plum! 

It is made from Alsatian quetches, beautiful blue plums with tangy aromas and tasty, sweet yellow flesh.

 This Quetsch brandy is obtained by fermentation of fruits with their stones for 2 to 3 weeks. 

After fermentation, the fruit puree is pitted before being left to rest for 8 weeks to further develop the aromas. 

After distillation, the eau-de-vie is stored in stainless steel vats before being reduced to the degree using Steige spring water; of great purity because it is naturally filtered by the Vosges schist; with cold filtration to perfect the manufacturing. Tasting notes: • Nose: fruity and stoney notes • Mouth: an attack of stoney aromas very characteristic of stone fruit brandies • Finish: dry, typical of Alsatian fruit Usage tips : - Pure as a digestive or as a “coffee schnapps” - As a cocktail (long drink or lemon punch) - In pastries, in tarts to enhance the taste of the fruit - As an accompaniment to ice cream balls (cinnamon, lemon, mirabelle plum)
