Discover our mushrooms in olive oil grown in the San Severo region (Gargano, Puglia, Italy). These Italian “bladed” mushrooms (oyster mushrooms) have a gray/brown color and an oyster shell shape, hence its name Pleorotus Ostreatus - oyster mushrooms -. Their flesh is firm and elastic and the taste is fine and slightly woody. They are generally harvested from stumps or dead wood and then blanched in a mixture of boiling vinegar water. Finally, they are drained, dried and then marinated in virgin olive oil. They are perfect to enjoy raw as antipasti, in salads or cooked on pizzas! These vegetables are grown and processed by two artisan brothers on their family land in the Gargano Natural Park (Puglia, Italy) - a major agricultural territory in the Alto Tavoliere agricultural zone - and are BRC food certified. They are harvested when ripe, at the best time of the season, to have maximum freshness and flavor. Packaging: 2 jars per package Weight: 2800g.
