Sfela is produced only in the Peloponnese and the milk used comes from breeds which are always bred according to traditional methods. It is a semi-hard cheese. This cheese is matured and preserved in brine. Sfela de Nikos Memmos is a cheese made from sheep's and goat's milk. Its long storage in brine gives it a stronger taste than feta. Sfela is often served as an aperitif, ideal to be fried or grilled or in a Greek pie.
