As a horticulturist and after more than 20 years of experience, I produce and sell, among other things, since 2011, pure saffron, vintage and presented in pistils/whole filaments, of 1st category/superior quality in certified organic mode AB .The saffron fields are nestled and protected in the heart of the forest of the Aspres massif, foothills of the Massif and the Pic du Canigou, in the Pyrénées Orientales.It is an entirely artisanal, traditional and family production/activity/culture, as well as entirely manual : namely harvesting, pruning, weighing, storage and maturation, packaging, weighing, labeling, weeding, uprooting, peeling/cleaning, grading, planting, hilling, as well as other various tasks - which explains the price of this precious spice .
