Origins: Brazil, Espiritu Santo do Pinhal and Colombia Huila South Andean zone Altitude: Cultivated between 800 and 1800 meters. Varieties: Bourbon, Mundo Novo, Caturra, Typica, Tabi and Castillo Process: Washed Tasting: Bright, balanced, structured coffee. Medium-high acidity. Flavors of blackberries, blueberries, stone fruits such as peach, passion fruit are appreciated; dried fruits such as walnut and peanut and, sweet (caramel). Scores of the coffees used: 84 and 86.50 The Blend José Luis is the combination of coffee from Brazil and Colombia. Two origins with a great tradition in the cultivation of coffee since the 18th century. In addition, they are the first and third largest producer worldwide, respectively. Their combination results in a balanced coffee in which the best of each one stands out. But nothing better to explain where the idea of this blend comes from, than José Luis's own words: This is one of my father's favorite blends and that is precisely why this blend was born, as a recognition and tribute to him and my mother, for having taught me to love coffee. Brazil and Colombia are the first and third largest coffee producers in the world, with a great tradition in its cultivation since the mid-eighteenth century. Supreme is a classification used in Colombia that refers to 17/14 sieve grains. In Brazil, the size of the grains is also classified according to their sieve, in this case they are 18/17. Espiritu Santo do Pinhal is located in the state of Sao Paulo. Pinhal is known as the Brazilian Tuscany for its mountains. It is characterized by its traditional crops and family production systems. Huila is a department located in the south of the coffee region, in the central and eastern part of the Andes. It is one of the largest producers in the country and has a Denomination of Origin.
