ORGANIC coffee beans GUATEMALA SHB - San Antonio Huista Quetzalito is a coffee produced near the town of San Antonio Huista which is located within the famous Huehuetenango region.
 The climate of this territory (low temperatures and moderate winds) makes it an ideal place for growing coffee.     In Guatemala, the altitude of coffee trees is designated by several important names.   San Antonio Huista obtains the “SHB” (Strictly Hard Bean) criterion for its very high altitude, which makes it a rare coffee.
 Thanks to the association of several producers, the cherries come from the Bourbon, Typica, Caturra and Catuaí varieties, making it a particular varietal blend.     On the cup side, we find indulgence: chocolate, cookies and caramel, enhanced by the vegetal notes of lemon and orange which give a dynamism that is both subtle and intense.
 This specialty coffee is perfect accompanied by a delicious Encuentro chocolate bar.
 Available in a Gourmet Box version!     The roaster's opinion For this organic washed coffee, we chose the “monk’s robe” roasting to help break up the acidity that would be too lively on the palate.
 We then find a clean cup profile with a beautiful roundness with a gourmet feel.Tasting note A marriage of roundness and intensity thanks to its citrus fruits of orange and lemon which balance perfectly with notes of vanilla, chocolate and nuts.
 Emilie Gavanier – Arabica Q graderThe production area is located in the Huehuetenango Region on the San Antonio Huista terroir in the North West of Guatemala.
 The 4 plantations of the assembly are located between 1700 and 1800 m, under plant cover. The plant cover of coffee plantations ensures greater biodiversity.   It also ensures that the cherries ripen more slowly and allows the coffee to have greater aromatic power.
