THE OBSERVATION:
Three years ago, I realized that my stress was having a negative impact on my health: I had skin problems, I was tired, and I was often in a bad mood.
With my stressful job and lifestyle, I had gotten into the habit of finding comfort in sweets of all kinds, especially chocolate.
THE CLICK:
And then one day, it clicked. I felt worse and worse, both at work and in my daily life. And I looked at myself in the mirror, my stress kilos visibly drawn on my figure. I wasn't comfortable in my skin, in my head, in my body. I had to find a solution to find a less stressful life balance.
THE RESEARCH:
Having worked in the dietary supplement industry for several years, I naturally considered taking them to relieve my stress. Except that I realized that, while I was ingesting plants and nutrients that were beneficial for my stress, I was also consuming an unimaginable amount of unnecessary additives that weren't necessarily good for my health: maltodextrin, magnesium stearate, glucose syrup, etc.
A SUMMARY:
I went back to basics: If chocolate relieves stress, there must be a reason. And indeed! When I looked into it more closely, I discovered that 70% dark chocolate had many health benefits, including relaxing properties! Unlike milk chocolate and all those chocolate-based treats that only provide sugar.
THE GENESIS OF THE IDEA:
Noticing the anti-stress benefits that nature has generously bestowed on chocolate, I thought: Why not harness them and multiply them by adding plants and nutrients?
Would this make chocolate the most enjoyable anti-stress supplement on the market?
No unnecessary excipients: chocolate would not be a container. Thanks to its natural anti-stress properties, it would be a co-active, acting in synergy with the active ingredients it contains. In addition, assimilation and compliance would also be optimized by this delicious, chewable format. And to go even further, it would be the perfect chocolate: 70% cocoa, organic, sugar-free, handcrafted from fair-trade cocoa beans in Bordeaux.
DEVELOPMENT:
It all started from there! I first did my first tests in my kitchen to find the ideal recipe: effective on stress, good for health and for the planet and of course: delicious. And it is thanks to a Bordeaux chocolatier who agreed to create my recipe that my project was finally able to see the light of day, after months of research, development and testing. I also created these anti-stress chocolate squares that change everything with my partners, Mallory and Max, but also with the help of pharmacists and micronutrition experts. These are real chocolate food supplements!
