“Cesco di Nece” is a warm, intense and elegant Aglianico from the Sannio hills, aged for 10 months in wood. Aromas of blueberry jam, toasted sensations, ethereal tones and mentholated memories enliven a strong, soft and structured body, with an elegant tannic texture. VINTAGE 2014 ALCOHOL CONTENT 12.5% vol PRODUCTION AREA Sannio EXPOSURE South West ALTITUDE 250 meters above sea level SOIL Limestone, volcanic, clayey Guyot BREEDING PLANTS/HA 3,000 PRODUCTION 60 quintals/hectare VINIFICATION AND AGING Grapes from the Cesco di Nece vineyard in the municipality of Sant'Agata dei Goti, selected and harvested by hand. Fermentation in steel tanks and lasts 3 weeks. Maturation in French oak barrels for approximately 12 months followed by refinement in the bottle for a minimum of 6 months. COLOR ruby tending towards garnet. BOUQUET recalls violet and morello cherry jam which acquires spicy and ethereal hints with aging. Intense, persistent, fine. TASTE dry, savory, rightly tannic, warm and full-bodied, quite soft. SERVING TEMPERATURE 16-18° C FOOD COMBINATION We recommend pairing with important preparations of red meats, mature cheeses and cured meats.
