Our Black Chickpeas are grown exclusively in Italy with traditional and organic methods, respecting nature. The main feature is their shape and intense black colour. They are grown in open fields by local farmers. They are an excellent food rich in proteins, starch and mineral salts. They are also a rich source of crude fiber. Black chickpeas are rich in vitamins: B, C, E and K. Also, unlike the common version, black chickpeas are particularly high in iron. They have a wrinkled, irregular and black skin, they have an intense flavor with herbaceous notes that make them perfect even just cooked and consumed with extra virgin olive oil. Excellent when combined with fish-based dishes, alternatively they are ideal for making hot soups, side dishes, delicious salads and gourmet dishes. Soaking 36 hours / Cooking 60-90 minutes [pressure cooker 40' from the start of the whistle] Important: change the soaking water at least 2/3 times.
