OUR STORY

Las chachitas were born from a Franco-Mexican meeting, chachita (Angelica) and chachito (Fabien). For years, faced with the difficulties of finding real Mexican hot sauces in France, Chachita has developed her own homemade recipes. Little by little, and given their success among our entourage, the idea grew to make it a joint project, with the aim of making truly Mexican sauces 100% made in France. 


OUR PROJECT

We have selected together typical Mexican ingredients, of quality, serrano peppers, arbol peppers, tomatillo, in order to make you discover the flavors of Mexico. The result is a range of Mexican sauces, produced in France, 95% of which are of French origin, including 56% from Provence. 
 
In Mexico, you will find sauces on the tables of all restaurants, often homemade, they are there to spice up the dishes, to be measured of course according to the tastes of each person, not all Mexicans eat spicy food. Our sauces are designed to end up on the table at each of your meals to enhance your dishes, just like in Mexico. At our house, it's already the case, from breakfast to dinner, at every barbecue... Our sauces accompany each of our meals. 


OUR RAW MATERIALS

Tomatoes, tomatillo, chile arbol, chile serrano, chile jalapeño, chile habanero, peanut, garlic, onions, Guérande salt, virgin olive oil, represent all the ingredients that you will find in our sauces, no preservatives, no additives. Only natural products grilled and mixed just before canning and pasteurization. Our goal is to use as many products harvested in France as possible. 
 
For the basic ingredients, tomatoes, onions, garlic, olive oil... We work with producers close to us, in the Aix-en-Provence area. For typical Mexican ingredients, it gets complicated. But we were lucky enough to meet a Mexican woman married to a market gardener from Poitou-Charentes who has been producing tomatillos and Mexican peppers for several years now. 
 
There remains the arbol pepper and the peanut, two ingredients that are not easily found in our latitudes, we are currently working with dried arbol peppers imported from Mexico, and peanuts from Egypt. 


WHO ARE WE ? 
 
Chachita (Angie) - The Mexican of the team, in France for 10 years, it is her need to eat spicy food that pushed her to develop her recipes year after year in order to satisfy her addiction. A professional buyer, she also works on sourcing, supplying raw materials, etc. 
 
Chachito (Fabien) - The French half of the team, who became addicted to chili peppers by force of circumstances, today he can no longer do without them. 
A motion designer by trade, he works on brand image (labels, packaging, etc.)),communication and help as best he can with product sourcing.
