COTES DU RHONE VILLAGE SABLET BLANC - 1935 range TERROIR - This cuvée comes from a plot selection on the vineyard located at the foot of the Sablet bell tower, on gentle slopes, which thrives on sandy soils, decalcified red clay and pebbles of various sizes. GRAPES - GRENACHE BLANC CLAIRETTE VIOGNIER ROUSSANNE VINIFICATION - Very gentle direct pressing. Start of fermentation in vats then funneled into 500L barrels. 6 months of aging in barrels on fine lees with weekly stirring to keep the lees in suspension. The oak for the barrels comes from the forests of the Vosges, Allier and Never. This vinification and aging brings an additional dimension to the complexity of the wine. TASTING NOTES - A golden color. On the nose, fine aromas of white flowers and slightly brioche notes. On the palate, it reveals a mineral and fresh white with a long citrus finish. A gentle balance between acidity, fat and volume.
