Rum Grima | Blicca | Molasses Rum | Mauritius | 70cl | 41.8°

History Originally, Grima was a port on the Garonne located in Cadaujac, the birthplace of Maison Mounicq. It used to be used as a river stopover for Graves wines bound for Bordeaux. With its strong wine-growing and naval past, the Gironde capital has contributed greatly, for centuries, to the spread of rum in the metropolis. His story largely inspired the Nadé brothers in the development of their rum: thus Grima was born. Embark on a journey to exotic destinations and let yourself be carried away by these tastings. For this vintage, Grima highlights a collaboration between Bordeaux and Mauritian terroir. This molasses rum from the Grays Distillery was first aged in bourbon and Cognac barrels. Then ends up in old barrels from Château Ambre de Maltus (Bordeaux) which contained Sauvignon blanc and Château Maltus (Lalande de Pomerol) which contained Merlot. Its name Blicca pays homage to the emblematic fish present in the Garonne, the Bream. Conception Provenance: Molasses / Mauritius Distillation: In column / Grays Distillery Aging: 3 years / ex red Bourbon and Cognac barrels Finishing: 3 months Blend: ex Sauvignon Blanc barrel from Château Ambre de Maltus (Bordeaux) and ex Merlot barrel from Château Maltus (Lalande de Pomerol) Specificity: no coloring / no added sugar / not cold filtered / slow reduction with spring water Aromatic profile This rum is distinguished by its sweetness and its delicacy, with pastry notes like chocolate and coffee. On the palate, Blicca reveals nuances of toasted almonds, cocoa beans and vanilla which naturally give way to a spicy and woody length, giving this rum roundness and complexity. Tasting advice This rum is best enjoyed on its own, at room temperature, to savour all the richness of its aromas. To accompany your desserts, opt for a pear-almond tart which will enhance its pastry notes. If you are looking for more freshness, a fruit tart will provide a pleasant contrast by balancing its roundness.       Rum from Mauritius | 2024 | 70 cl | 41.8°
