Maja, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC 2018, PIANDIMARE, elegant and robust red wine for aging

From the Abruzzo region, this elegant and robust red wine for aging is produced by Cantina Piandimare, whose vineyards are perched on the slopes of the Val di Foro, between the Majella mountain and the Mediterranean Sea.
 Vinification and aging: Fermentation carried out with a long maceration in contact with the skins, followed by several stages of aging: 9 months in steel vats, 30 months in new oak barrels, and 6 months in bottle, gives rise to Maja, a wine with very good aging potential. 
Maja is not just a wine, it is not just a label, it is the mountain which offers an extraordinary climate, creator of grapes of unrivaled quality.

 Tasting notes: – Appearance: Deep ruby ​​red color, almost impenetrable. –Nose: True aromatic complexity, with aromas of ripe fruit (cherry, plum and blackcurrant) and notes of tobacco, cocoa, vanilla, liquorice and black pepper. –Palate: A multifaceted wine, where the acidity resulting from the microclimate elegantly supports and accompanies the maturity and complexity of the fruit. 
We obtain a perfect balance between silky texture and tannic structure which gives taste harmony. 
The length in the mouth is incredible.
