From the Veneto region, between Verona and Lake Garda, this delicious and full-bodied red wine for aging is produced by Begali, a small family estate since 1986, each new generation of which proudly perpetuates the winemaking traditions. Vinification and aging: It is produced from carefully selected grapes and partially subjected to drying for 120 days. This is followed by slow fermentation at low temperature for 30/50 days, then aging for 3 years in oak barrels and at least 6 months in bottle. We thus obtain a wine that is extremely aromatically rich, full-bodied and very complex. Tasting notes: – Appearance: Intense garnet red color. –Nose: Aromatic bouquet is rich and intense, with notes of ripe fruits such as black cherry, plum, enriched with nuances of licorice, vanilla and roasted coffee. –Palate: Extraordinary depth, with a velvety tannic texture and perfect harmony between acidity and alcohol. The aromatic richness results in a full and enveloping taste, with a long and persistent finish that leaves a pleasant sensation of warmth and complexity. Aging potential: 15 to 25 years Recommended serving temperature: 16-18°C Recommended consumption: Open and air at least 1 hour before tasting. Food/wine pairings: Braised beef in red wine, leg of lamb roasted with herbs, osso buco, mature cheeses. Medals: - VINOUS: 93 PTS - 2 Bicchieri Gambero Rosso 2023
