DESCRIPTION: This elegant and powerful wine for laying down, produced by the Milenico family estate, comes from a selection of vineyards aged between 25 and 100 years old located on gentle slopes along the Duero River and in the moors surrounding the Duero Valley at around 900 metres above sea level. Vinification and aging: The grapes are harvested by hand then cooled to 5º and cold macerated for a week, which allows the aromas to be extracted in the liquid phase. Alcoholic fermentation begins with indigenous yeasts at 15ºC then malolactic fermentation at a temperature of 20ºC. The wine is then aged for 27 months in 225-litre French oak barrels. Tasting notes: – Appearance: Deeply intense cherry red color. –Nose: Beautiful aromatic complexity with floral and black fruit aromas, complemented by balsamic notes of gingerbread, cocoa, tobacco and coffee. –Palate: It is an elegant, powerful wine with character, which shows a great variety of flavors, associated with the Tempranillo grape variety (black fruits, liquorice) and its long aging in barrels (coffee, spices, tobacco). It is powerful, harmonious with a beautiful structure and complexity, and a magnificent length in the mouth.
