
DESCRIPTION: This fine and complex red wine is produced by Fikardos, a family-run estate located in the Paphos wine region of Cyprus, whose aim is to create wines that reveal the true character of Cyprus. Vinification and aging: The grapes are macerated in contact with the skins for 7 days, then alcoholic fermentation is carried out at 22-24°C, followed by maloclatic fermentation. Finally, the wine is aged for 10 months in oak barrels to soften its tannins and develop its aromatic complexity and its aging potential. Tasting notes: – Appearance: Ruby red color. –Nose: Aromas of ripe black fruits such as black cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, spices such as black pepper and vanilla, combined with notes of brioche, cocoa and tobacco. –Palate: It is medium-bodied, with high acidity, it offers finesse and aromatic complexity with flavors of ripe fruit, cocoa and tobacco. Aging potential: > 10 years Recommended serving temperature: 16-18°C Recommended consumption: Open and air at least 1 hour before tasting.
