In the heart of the evocative Aosta Valley, the smallest region in Italy, the Saint Roch Distilleries embody a centuries-old tradition in the production of excellent spirits and liqueurs.
Here, the fundamental pillars are reduced to a few but essential elements: a deep love for the territory and an innate passion for the art of distillation.
The history of the Saint Roch Distilleries has its roots back in the 1700s, when the Levi family operated in the field of distillation in the picturesque village of Campodolcino, in Lombardy.
It was Guglielmo Levi who moved his business to Aosta towards the end of the 19th century, founding his distillery in the village of Sant'Orso and starting the production of his grappa.
As the years passed, the business prospered and in 1968, Guglielmo's daughter, Natalina, together with her husband Cesare Rosset, inaugurated the Saint Roch Distilleries in the municipality of Quart, giving continuity to her father's legacy. The ancient walls of the Levi Distillery gave way to new production spaces, modern and technologically advanced, while maintaining the deep connection with tradition intact. In addition to grappa, Génépy was added to the production, the symbol par excellence of the Aosta Valley, which soon became one of the company's most renowned products.
