Whiskey de France – Single Malt – Vintage 2017. French barley, malted, brewed and distilled in France. Developed by double maturation, this Single Malt first undergoes a first maturation of 22 months in French oak barrels (20% new + 80% red) and then a second maturation by a refining of 18 months in ex-wine barrels . The finishing barrels which contained exclusively Grenache Noir (Banyuls Rimage) come from the Domaine Coume del Mas in Banyuls. Bottled in May 2020 Production of 550 bottles 55.5% vol. Ephemeral vintage INTENSITY 5/5 CHARACTERISTICS: Complex, intense, rich COLOUR: Ruby, garnet NOSE: Cooked red fruits, old fruit brandy, oak, jam MOUTH: Intense and fruity attack, great length, warm finish
