Champagne DESBŒUFS is a story of family and authenticity...
It all started with Octave CADEL in 1930 who bottled his first wine, at the time Champagne CADEL in Mardeuil. Through the unbreakable bonds of marriage, Champagne DESBŒUFS was then born, passing through several alliances and several names over a few decades.
After his father Francis, Quentin is finally the 4th generation and makes it a point of honor, since he took over the business 5 years ago, to re-vinify his wines as much as possible in oak barrels as he did Octave in the 1930s; for the tradition and also for the particular taste that the barrel gives to a Champagne. This practice had been lost over the years.
The vineyard is divided into 3 geographical areas located in Mardeuil, Montigny-sous-Châtillon and Binson-Orquigny, and is made up of 3 grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot noir and Pinot meunier for a total of 4ha.
Maison DESBŒUFS has been certified High Environmental Value since March 2022 and makes it a point of honor to respect its soils and its terroir.
Quentin and his wife Marie-Cécile always do their best to introduce interested parties to their work and their Champagne.
