ORANGE, BITTERS, WINE 969 – aperitif liqueur 19.4% vol

Franck Audoux, owner of the Paris bar >Cravan<, is a cocktail archaeologist and author. His research area: The intensive interaction between artistic avant-garde and modern bar culture in Paris in the 1920s and 1930s. Inspired by this research, he created an aperitif with orange notes and bitter aromas. Alexandra Schmedes, an organic winemaker from near Toledo, supplied the red wine. Gerald Schroff, liquor expert from Berlin, provided support in developing the recipe. The result is a truly European drink that is best enjoyed over ice, with a dash of soda and a zest of orange.
