We are a young company from Madrid, which has wanted to combine the family olive tradition with the most advanced technology in the production of eco-logical extra virgin olive oil. Thus, by caring for our olive trees with ecological agronomic techniques, harvesting the olives at the optimum moment and producing the oil in our plant, we achieve absolute control, from cultivation to packaging, of our ecological extra virgin olive oil. Our system is mostly rainfed, thus obtaining more flavor, greater concentration and aroma.

La Aceitera de la Abuela is named after Doña Patrocinio Ruiz, the first owner of the hacienda on which our oil mill rests. The beginning of this story goes back more than a hundred years. In the absence of a comfortable life in the small town of Titulcia, grandparents Alfonso and Patrocinio traveled to the lands of Cuba in search of opportunities, taking with them the spirit of work and sacrifice that makes this family special. In this new adventure, the grandparents built a small fruit business, and managed to make a fortune. When fortune was on their side, they saw the moment to return to their town, their home. They reached Titulcia again, again on the banks of the Tajuña and Jarama. They bought a large farm in the town, which included an old flour mill known among the locals as “la Fábrica de Abajo”. In response to this innovative and respectful spirit with the environment, they opted for organic farming in the mid-nineties. Despite being pioneers in this agricultural practice in Madrid, they never saw in their work the fruit of a fair assessment. In a market that turned its back on this method of cultivation. Seeing herself in this situation, the birth of La Aceitera de la Abuela took place, in homage to the mythical Grandmother Patro. Creating the first mill in Madrid that produced only organic olive oil. This young company built by Ana and Pedro on the consistent foundations of love for work, sustainability and balance with nature. And always tradition and innovation by flag. These are the essential features of the firm, which are hidden behind its name "Grandma's Oil Bottle". This young company that remembers its past with pride and looks to the future with enthusiasm, and that continues to grow today thanks to Pedro and his young son Pedro Andrés. Enlarging even more the fruit born from the seed of the earth and nurtured by years of experience and wisdom, by each drop of sweat spilled on these soils, by the essence of nature. To be able to share it with the people of today, and of tomorrow.

OUR BRANDS
Mantua Carpetana
The name of Mantua Carpetana tries to recall the denomination that since the end of the s. XV gave Madrid some Italian humanists (Mantua Carpetanorum), such as Pedro Mártir de Anglería in his famous work «Epistolarium». This denomination continued in some cultural circles throughout the s. XVI, and for this reason it was kept on the famous map of the cartographer Pedro Texeira of 1656. At the bottom of the quality oil label «Aceite de Madrid», a detail of the plan is reproduced where you can see «the Plaza Mayor» that stands out inside the road network due to its regular appearance and "El Jardín del Moro" next to the Manzanares River. Mantua Carpetana is the expression of our monovarietal oils. These have a special quality, because the olive is harvested and its juice is made in its earliest state of maturity, obtaining its youngest nuances. The varieties we use in the production of these oils are "Cornicabra", "Picual" and "Arbequina" and a Premium selection of "Coupage". For them we use packaging that guarantees their quality, also presenting them with careful aesthetics.
Grandma's Oil Can
It is an Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Madrid, cold extraction, made mainly with olives of the cornicabra variety. In the organoleptic analysis, a sensory profile is obtained on the nose, with intense fruitiness (with aromas reminiscent of green grass, almonds, and apple), a good balance of bitter and spicy on the palate. It has a high content of oleic acid, which gives it high stability over time.
