We are a young company from Madrid that sought to combine family olive-growing tradition with the most advanced technology in the production of organic extra virgin olive oil. Thus, by caring for our olive trees with organic agronomic techniques, harvesting the olives at the optimal time, and producing the oil in our plant, we achieve absolute control over our organic extra virgin olive oil, from cultivation to packaging. Our system is mostly dry-farmed, thus obtaining more flavor, greater concentration and aroma.
La Aceitera de la Abuela is named after Doña Patrocinio Ruiz, the first owner of the estate on which our oil mill stands. The beginning of this story goes back more than a hundred years. Lacking a comfortable life in the small town of Titulcia, grandparents Alfonso and Patrocinio traveled to Cuba in search of opportunities, bringing with them the spirit of work and sacrifice that makes this family special. In this new adventure, the grandparents started a small fruit shop and managed to make a fortune. When fortune was on their side, they saw the moment to return to their village, their home. They arrived again at Titulcia, again on the banks of the Tajuña and Jarama rivers. They bought a large estate in the village, which included an old flour mill known to the locals as “the Factory Downstairs.”
This young company, which remembers its past with pride and looks to the future with enthusiasm, continues to grow today thanks to Pedro and his young son, Pedro Andrés. Further enhancing the fruit born from the seed of the earth and nourished by years of experience and wisdom, by every drop of sweat shed on these soils, by the essence of nature. So we can share it with the people of today, and tomorrow.

Mantua Carpetana
The name Mantua Carpetana is intended to recall the name that has been used since the late 17th century. In the 15th century, some Italian humanists (Mantua Carpetanorum) gave Madrid the title of "Epistolarium", such as Pedro Mártir de Anglería. This designation continued in some cultural circles throughout the 20th century. XVI, and for this reason it was kept on the famous map of the cartographer Pedro Texeira of 1656. At the bottom of the label for the quality olive oil "Aceite de Madrid," a detail of the map is reproduced, showing the Plaza Mayor, which stands out from the road network due to its regular appearance, and the "Jardín del Moro" next to the Manzanares River. Mantua Carpetana is the expression of our monovarietal oils. These have a special quality, because the olives are harvested and their juice is produced at their earliest state of ripeness, obtaining their most youthful nuances. The varieties we use in the production of these oils are “Cornicabra”, “Picual” and “Arbequina” and a Premium selection of “Coupage”. We use packaging that guarantees quality and presents them with careful aesthetics.
