Château de Cots is a family property founded in 1930. Today managed by Rémi Bergon, third generation of winegrowers. Located about forty kilometers from Bordeaux. the entire property has been certified organic since 1999 and labeled Demeter since 2020. The vineyard is located on one of the best plateau, facing south west in the town of Bayon sur Gironde. It has a limestone clayey silt soil and on a few plots of red gravel, it extends over approximately 20 hectares. The grape variety is made up of 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Malbec, the emblematic grape of the Côts de Bourg. The average age of the vines is 35 years. Château de Cots produces 3 cuvées, 2 reds and 1 Rosé de Pressée 100% Malbec.
