FAMILY
A family in Languedoc for 6 generations
In 1872, Etienne-Maurice Jeanjean bought a plot of vines, opened an inn and launched into the wine trade in St Félix de Lodez, north of Montpellier; The Jeanjean family's winemaking adventure has just begun! Today, Brigitte Jeanjean represents the 6th generation alongside her cousins, Frédéric and Philippe, and her sister Elisabeth. For 150 years, the Jeanjean family has been present in St Félix de Lodez, and the plot of vines has given way to wonderful properties in the Languedoc.
ENVIRONMENT
Environmental protection
Avant-garde, Brigitte Jeanjean drove the shift to all organic in the early 2000s. His years in Quebec, surveying the great natural spaces, and the return to his Languedoc of scrubland and vineyards forged his relationship with the environment and the need to preserve it. For her, it goes through organic. In 2021, all the properties are certified organic. Other complementary labels (HVE, Sulphur-free, nature, Biodynamic) support our approach.
A STYLE OF BRILLIANT WINES
Our signature
Matthieu Carliez, Technical Director, has worked for nearly 20 years alongside Brigitte Jeanjean, with whom they produce wines based on fruit, freshness, radiance and pleasure. This style is also the result of the work of Matthieu and his team who seek year after year to reveal the terroir of each cuvée in the most authentic way.
TERROIRS
Languedoc and its terroirs
The Jeanjean family has always believed in the tremendous potential of Languedoc appellations. Nicknamed the “vineyard explorers”, Hughes and Bernard (5th generation) passed on this enthusiasm to their children in the quest for exceptional terroirs.
