Le Mas du Notaire: in the heart of the little Camargue
In Gallician-Vauvert, in the Petite Camargue between Nîmes and Montpellier, the Mas du Notaire – whose stones date from the middle of the 19th century – takes its name from one of its owners at the beginning of the 20th century, then an honorary notary.
Acquired in 2004 by the Jean-Pierre Rambier family, echoing Mireille's first job, it was completely renovated in 2007.
In the 14th century, the wines of Saint-Gilles, Nîmes and Costière were among the most prized by the pontifical Court of Avignon; the appellation changed its name in 1989 to Costières de Nîmes.
