The SILVAIN family nougat factory, labeled a Living Heritage Company, has been producing confectionery that enhances fruit, almonds and honey for over 30 years.
Coming from a line of farmers, the history of the SILVAIN family is closely linked to that of this Provençal region nestled between the plain of Comtat Venaissin and Mont-Ventoux.
For the SILVAIN family, nougat is a story of passion that began with Pierre and Philippe, Peasant Nougat Makers. Today, the whole family works hard to produce high-quality almonds and honey, which they transform into sweet and delicate confectionery with authentic flavors.
The Peasant-Nougat Industry: An Agricultural Sector of Excellence
Local and Sustainable Production
The Peasant-Nougat Industry, founded by the SILVAIN family in 2015, embodies the very essence of local and responsible agriculture. By bringing together almond and honey producers mainly from the PACA region and the south-east of France, this initiative promotes local raw materials to produce authentic nougat. This model reduces the carbon footprint by limiting the distances traveled and promoting a short circuit, while supporting the local economy.
The SILVAIN nougat factory has been recognized five times at the EPICURE Awards.
Le Matinal, white nougat with coffee, won a Silver Medal in 2024.
L'Endurante, honey, fig, pollen energy bar, won a Bronze Medal in 2023.
Le Soyeux, extra honey white nougat, won a Gold Medal in 2017.
Le Rêveur, soft dark nougat, won a Gold Medal in 2015.
And Le Polisson, the Silvain calisson, won a Silver Medal in 2015.
