Recommended serving temperature: 18°C. Vinification: Skin maceration for 10 days at 24 °C. Refinement: In steel for 24 months and rest in the bottle. Organoleptic description: Ruby red colour. Scents of plum and wild berries. In the mouth it is soft and juicy. Curiosity: This wine takes its name from Gavio Ponzio, a Samnite leader, native of Telese, who, as Meddix Tuticus (the highest Samnite office), defeated the Romans at the gallows caudine in 321 BC.
