Villa Oyat is a family adventure started in 2021 in the Bassin d'Arcachon with the desire to produce local cooked products, with taste and without preservatives.

At the origin of this project: the COVID crisis in 2020 only reinforced the awareness that we had made a good start on the health capital of our planet and that a change in our consumption habits was mandatory and urgent. In addition to checking the origin of all the products and resting those from afar, Gaëlle tries to consume organic and local products throughout the winter of 2020-2021. On the program: weekend markets and organic stores!

After a few weeks, a new evidence: to eat cabbage, carrots and pumpkins, the winter is long and monotonous. Organic preserves have little taste and most products come from countries outside France. Frozen foods? All this cold chain is not very respectful of the environment.

So a craving! How to rediscover the taste of fresh produce, even in winter? Our grandparents were good at it with canned goods… So let’s get started! We are going to produce these preserves! Villa Oyat will be born from this desire. And with the family!

In 2021, the company is launched and we start R&D. We want to develop a whole line of products but we start with 2 recipes that will allow us to validate our production processes. It will be 2 gourmet ketchups. We start marketing in the summer of 2022. A few stores in the Bassin d'Arcachon taste and refer us. A first artisan baker and pastry-maker includes us in his savory croissants. In September, the ketchups are selected to be offered during the Sunday brunches of a famous restaurant with two stars in the Basin. Come on, let's continue! With you ?
