The quality of the wine depends above all on the work in the vineyards.
The cultivation of vines, present on our farm for several generations, has always been essential in the production of our wines.
The balance between the vine and the terroir, where it has its roots, allows us to harvest grapes that express the best of the grape variety and the soil.
Respect for the earth is a priority. Since the birth of Clos Troteligotte in 1987, we have practiced peasant agriculture. Over the years, we have learned to know our grape varieties, our terroir and the climate that surrounds it. We were certified in Organic Agriculture in 2014 and in Biodynamic Agriculture in 2017.
Since 2004, we have carried out a micro-plot selection within the Clos. Depending on the iron richness of our soil, we have created a range which represents a variation of the Malbec grape variety on this unique terroir of the Cahors appellation.
Finally, we promote biodiversity on a daily basis, for example by reintroducing beehives in our vineyard, and by developing agroforestry and eco-grazing. Finally, we preserve and maintain our 15 hectares of woods and meadows which surround our Clos.
