A LOVE OF GIN
My name is Andrea, I am a guy passionate about spirits, especially Gin. It was precisely my passion and curiosity that led me, a few years ago, to create the first Gins at home.
One fine day my partner gave me a small handmade copper still. Shortly thereafter, an innumerable series of tests and experiments began, personally distilling herbs and berries in search of the perfect recipe. Once I found the right recipe, I was already dreaming of my gin in the bottle shops of the best places, so we started with the production.
The name GIN 847 is linked to the street number of my parents' home, the place where I produced the first Gin Tonic for my partner.
The label was created in Berlin by Christian Pasqual. The koala drawing is handmade with the linoleum engraving printing technique (linocut). The koala represents my daughter who, as soon as she was born, fell asleep clinging to my arm on her stomach, just like this koala rests on the branch of a Juniper plant.
We started with a first version, ZeroNove, which takes its name from the date of our engagement; to then present a second version, TwentySette, which could only be the date of our wedding.
