JOLIVA was born in the heart of Catalonia, in the municipality of Bovera, in the comarca of Garrigues (province of Lleida). The finca extends over 20 hectares of a typically Mediterranean landscape, at an altitude of 300 meters. Nature is omnipresent, with centuries-old olive trees, pine trees, rosemary, almond trees and wild thyme. This rich and preserved natural environment offers an ideal setting for growing exceptional olives.
But JOLIVA is much more than a place. It is a human story, based on friendship, respect for the land and the desire to transmit an authentic product, respecting its origins and its natural balance. The finca is run by Carlos Abert, a passionate Catalan farmer who has been committed to sustainable agriculture for several years. The farm has been certified organic since 2019, without any use of chemicals, in the constant concern to preserve the integrity of the soil and the purity of the fruit.
JOLIVA olive oil is an organic extra virgin oil, produced with care and patience. It stands out for its vibrant color, its intense herbaceous aroma, its subtly fruity flavor, punctuated with spicy notes. Its quality lies as much in the rigor of the manufacturing process as in the sincere expression of its terroir. Each vintage is unique, as it faithfully reflects the climatic conditions that accompanied cultivation and harvesting.
