Located in the heart of the Luberon Regional Park, the Jardins d'Olya olive grove offers micro-production of single-varietal extra virgin olive oil with character: a balanced oil, with ripe fruity aromas enhanced with a light ardor and 'a bitterness in his youth.

The olive trees are located in Vaucluse, one of the main areas for olive oil production, in the charming hilltop village of Murs, 10km from Gordes. The commune offers a terroir and an altitude (500m) conducive to the good development of Aglandau olive trees, an endemic species and therefore resistant to the climatic conditions of the region.

Our operation began about 3 years ago, with the ambition of recultivating the land of our village, often abandoned by conventional agriculture because it is not irrigated and isolated or abandoned by the cultivation of orchards because it has become unprofitable.   The agricultural project then takes shape and its vocation will be threefold: to revitalize the local economy, beautify the village landscape and finally, have a significant environmental impact.

We naturally turned to the olive tree, out of a passion for local products and this sacred tree as well as for its ability to act against global warming.   The olive tree is in fact a carbon sink and is considered today as one of the most effective crops for sequestering carbon in the soil.

It is therefore by taking into account all this information and these desires that we have developed a unique and innovative planting model which combines respect for the land, environmental commitment and quality product.   Our vision: limited but respectful production with a positive impact on the environment.

The positive impact on the environment is reflected in the fact that all our carbon emissions are largely offset by the carbon sequestration of our olive trees.   In fact, each year, we plant between 1 and 2 hectares of young olive trees which allow us to sequester a significant quantity of carbon which will increase over the years.

Beyond our environmental commitment, our primary mission is to produce a superior category Extra Virgin olive oil without treatments obtained directly from olives and only by mechanical processes.

The bottle and the label are also very important elements in our eyes and have been designed to reflect as closely as possible the spirit of the Luberon, a region of taste, classy but far from ostentatious.   The green of the bottle recalls the nature that surrounds us while preserving the oil from heat and light, the label is resistant to grease thanks to its innovative Greaseproof material and a cap with pouring spout is integrated so as not to not lose a drop of this green gold.

Coming from micro-production (less than 5000 bottles), each bottle is numbered, a guarantee of our desire to make it unique and traceable.
Once finished, the chosen bottle can be reused as a decorative or functional object according to everyone's desires... another gesture for the environment!
