In Romagna, food is not just nourishment but conviviality
Imagine no longer being able to eat a piadina, a watercress, a pizza with friends. Imagine having to refuse invitations to lunch and dinner. This is what happened to those diagnosed with celiac disease, especially as adults, with a wealth of gastronomic and social experiences that were difficult to let go of.
And this is what also happened to Anna Rita Giorgi, from Romagna D.O.C. who at 38 found herself having to rethink and reorganize her life based on the diagnosis of celiac disease. But like any true Romagna native, she did not lose heart, and transformed a potential problem into an opportunity, deciding that if the market could not satisfy her needs, she herself could bring a solution to the market.
After a few years of frustration at the lack of gluten-free products on offer that really didn't make her miss the traditional ones, the idea of opening her own artisan workshop was born in 2008.
In 2009 the Ministerial Authorization officially started the activity of Belli Freschi. First just a small artisan workshop, today an established brand, based in the suggestive hills of Sarsina.
