Podie is a Sri Lankan cooperative created in 1974 by our partner Solidar Monde, supporting producers to make a decent living from their production while respecting the environment: support for sustainable agronomic techniques, assurance of fair remuneration, development of infrastructure, social integration. This coconut milk is a benchmark that we built together with Podie, which allowed the diversification of income. 

The latter is without guar gum, a stabilizing additive often used in the food industry. •Coconut production while respecting biodiversity. 

The technical support provided to producers encourages them to diversify their crops, which promotes the creation and protection of local biodiversity. 

This is also a source of security for their income because the risks are better distributed across the different crops. 

The environment is respected and put in the best conditions to produce well: everyone wins! In short, a coconut milk that tastes good, but also for the planet, the women and men who produce it! •An approach that fights against the precariousness of women. 

The products of the Podie cooperative are packaged and placed in pots by Sri Lankan women living in very precarious conditions. 

They then benefit from a fair salary, professional training, a retirement fund, and reimbursement of medical expenses.
