Koudeta - Blended Scotch Whiskey

KOUDETA is an authentic Blended Scotch Whisky, distilled in the Larnakshire region, south of Glasgow, in the Lowlands region. It is made from 15% malt and 85% wheat. For the fermentation of the “Mash” of the grains, only malt yeasts are used, which gives these typical malt aromas, aromas that are refined with the maturation in oak barrels. When put in barrels, when KOUDETA is still eau de vie, it contains 69% to 70% alc. It is then aged for 3 years in Bourbon casks, which gives it its delicate notes of vanilla and honey as well as its roundness to come. Then comes the crucial stage of blending, with its 15% malts also aged for 3 years in oak barrels, which gives KOUDETA the subtlety of its balance and the quality of its aromas. At this stage, it still has 65% alc. Before bottling, the alcohol content is lowered to 45% alc. by adding purified water. It is indeed at this degree that the best balance is preserved between the notes of honeyed vanilla and the malty aromas full of finesse which make KOUDETA a whiskey of character. For a precise tasting, we recommend heating KOUDETA in the mouth like a good single malt. It's a safe bet that it will seduce amateurs with its aromas and subtle balance, without its power upsetting their palate. Either as an aperitif with sweet and savory appetizers (e.g. smoked duck fillet toast and bitter orange chutney), either at the end of the meal after a preferably unsweetened coffee or dark chocolate.
