For decades, the pharmacist family Jagla has been using a medieval monastery recipe, traditional herbalism and old pharmacopeia knowledge to manufacture high-proof herbal bitters (Amaros), spice liqueurs and sugar-free gin. The Jaglas macerate – still by hand – carefully matured spirits from exquisite bitter herbs, fine spices and essential oils. Artichoke Elixir is a powerful, finely balanced digestif based on regional artichokes. With exquisite bitter herbs, roots and blossoms, including gentian, centaury, cardamom, ginger, nutmeg, zedoary, cinchona bark, bitter orange peel, juniper, camphor, lavender, cinnamon bark, citronella, valerian, angelica root, cloves, galangal root and a touch of saffron. The small beaker of the apothecaries and alchemists belongs to the origin of Dr. jaglas. Our beakers are specially produced by a glassworks for tasting the elixirs. For pure enjoyment we recommend the amount of 20 ml (= 2 cl). This corresponds to the dosage of our elixir dispenser.
