"Huilerie de l'Orme Creux is an artisanal oil mill located in Corbreuse, near Dourdan.
It was created at the beginning of 2009 with the aim of transforming the oilseeds produced in large part on the adjoining farm and to offer linseed oil that could not be more natural, with perfect traceability and with a environmentally friendly production cycle:
- Seeds grown according to the principles of soil conservation agriculture (permanent soil cover, adapted crop rotation and very limited use of phytosanitary products).
- The oil produced results only from the first cold pressing of the seed, which after filtration, does not require any refining, which allows it to be used both for the treatment of wood and terracotta, paints and for supplements animal feed.
We offer the following products:
- first cold-pressed edible oils: flax, camelina, hemp (for seasoning)
- Standard linseed oil: water-repellent treatment of terracotta tiles and wood (cladding, framework, fences, beehives, etc.)
- Linseed oil clarified by heat treatment and bleached in the sun: binder for oil paint, for varnishes: the oil clarified by heat treatment will dry faster than that bleached in the sun
- Gluten-free golden flax, brown flax, hemp and camelina flours
- Linseed oil encaustic: Protects and nourishes interior wood (furniture, woodwork, etc.) untreated or impregnated with oil
- Soft and liquid black soap with linseed oil: black soap with linseed oil is a versatile traditional product that is used for household maintenance, against aphids in the garden and as a shampoo for animals . Completely biodegradable, it is non-polluting and foams very little.
All our products are made by us using oil produced on site and the most natural raw materials possible."
