Our desire to work together came quite naturally and Arnaud had more refined experience in seeds.
Our observation was quite curious, we were intended to feed the population, but we had no direct link with it!!!
We were already growing food crops like green peas, lentils, flax. After being inspired by the fashions and needs of consumers, the observation was clear.
Consumers want to know what they are eating. And who better than the producer to give him these answers!!! »
1001 GRAINES was born in December 2017, following a catastrophic 2016 harvest. Our economic model was badly shaken and our future as farmers was seriously questioned.
It is often said that it is in failures that we find solutions, the proof is made!
Convinced of being able to link producer/consumer stakeholders, we decided to orient part of our production towards the cultivation of food seeds, with quinoa as our battle horse, then chickpeas and brown flax (which were no longer or not represented in our region). The following year, pink lentils, green peas and popcorn corn made their appearance.
All the attention and care given to our packaging are just as identical and rigorous as those given in controlling the production/sorting/bagging/marketing chain.
