Fig Sweet Spices 250G

Confiture Parisienne likes to take you to unknown lands with seemingly classic recipes but with this little ingredient that brings “that little something extra”.

 What better way to start the holiday season than with black fig jam and… a touch of sweet spices. All French of course and made in the only jam factory in Paris!

 First, black and soft figs harvested in the south of France and candied in a cauldron in cane sugar to preserve all their flavor. Then, finely chopped orange and lemon peels to add a little acidity.

 Add to this a gentle blend of spices with comforting flavors that enhance the “round” taste of the fig pieces: cinnamon, star anise, ginger, green cardamom and Kampot pepper from Cambodia.

 With its small grain that crisps in the mouth, this unique and addictive jam will work just as well in the morning when you get out of bed on your toast as at mealtime with a cheese platter or a foie gras toast!
