Modeano is a small agricultural village on the western edge of the Friulian Riviera, halfway between Venice and Trieste. Here since 1982 Gabriele Vialetto and his wife Emanuela have cultivated the family vineyards, producing their wines with passion.
After 41 years of dedication and sacrifice, Gabriele Vialetto decided to give way to his young cousins Luca and Andrea Cisorio who, thanks to their experience, their fresh and dynamic vision, took over the reins of the company with enthusiasm and determination. The desire is to keep intact the traditions and values that have always characterized the "Modeano" wines and to introduce new perspectives and improve their quality, thus enhancing the territory of the Friulian Riviera.
The owned vineyards always surround the company headquarters and extend over approximately 32 hectares, the most mature being around thirty years old. We continue to replace those that have reached the end of their career with new screws, in order to guarantee continuity of production
The characteristics of the soil and climate, combining with each other and with the different vines, under the careful care of the winemaker, give rise to unique wines as an expression of a particular "territory". We are convinced that quality is obtained mainly in the vineyard, trying to respect the agricultural environment and the animals that populate it as much as possible.
