Our story begins with a Welsh rugby player who started a fish smoking business in Gers in 2012. The employees continued the adventure in cooperative form by creating the SCIC (Collective Interest Cooperative Society) Fumaison Occitane in September 2017.
We then developed a traditional smoking activity for fish from Scotland or France (Pyrenees, Dordogne, etc.)):Salmon, trout, sturgeon.
The products are made in Auch: hand-salted with unrefined dry salt before smoking with beech wood.
At the end of 2021, Fumaison Occitane created its new brand aimed at specialist networks and delicatessens: L'Exception Occitane.
