The domain
If Eugène Demoulin, the great-grandfather, sought to return to the places of his youth, in this area where each stone bears the trace of his soul, this is what he would discover:
At the bend of a path at the exit of Tavel and in the direction of Nîmes, stands proudly, surrounded by its 32 hectares of vineyard, "Le Château de Trinquevedel". Eugene holds his breath, emotion overtakes him...
He still remembers the year 1936 when he acquired this elegant 18th century bastide overgrown with weeds, determined to give it back its winemaking vocation of yesteryear.
The vineyard
On the other hand, the soils made up mainly of sand and pebbles had seemed to him promising for the cultivation of grape varieties such as Grenache, Cinsault or Clairette.
So he undertook a patient restoration of the estate to produce in turn this rosé wine with the fresh scents of red fruits.
Winemaking
If Eugene, still many years later, had discreetly pushed open the doors of the cellar... what would not have been his surprise to discover that technology had supplanted the empirical gestures of the past. Here, the grapes were meticulously sorted, all the stages of vinification were thermo-regulated, the bleeding and pressing juices were skilfully assembled, twenty days later a settling made it possible to clarify the wine. All these operations completed, the wine was ready to be marketed at the end of winter.
Poor Eugene, enough to lose his Latin!
