La Cavale, the wine estate of Paul Dubrule, co-founder of Accor, was born in 1986 when its owner fell in love with the Luberon. Today it extends over 41 ha of vineyards planted with 8 different grape varieties in the heart of the regional natural park, between the villages of Lourmarin, Cucuron, Vaugines and Cadenet. All these vines are on hillsides and produce wines of character, marked by their freshness and their fruit for the whites and rosés as well as a good aging potential for the reds. The range is available in three different cuvées, Petite Cavale for wines to drink with everyday dishes, La Cavale for pleasure wines and BLANC the micro-cuvée of white with good aging potential.
La Cavale is also an exceptional wine tourism center built by the architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte in which there is, in addition to the cellars which can be visited, a 500 m² shop. It sells not only the wines of the property but also those from other regions of the world, spirits, delicatessen, luxury crystalware as well as accessories and books related to the world of wine. Many interactive workshops around wine are offered to visitors curious to learn more. In summer, a terrace is open to the regional park. There are concerts every Thursday evening by reservation.
