Wine has always taken a prominent place in the existence of the Maurin family, ancestors of the Rouanet family.
In the archives, parchments dating from 1731, established during the reign of Louis XV, were found.
These demonstrate the purchase of plots of vines by our ancestors.
Thus we imagine that, without being an activity comparable to that of today, the wine trade already existed.
It was in 1951 that Louis Gaston Rouanet, husband of Henriette Maurin, decided to start marketing their production in bottles, which until then had been sold to the Bordeaux wine merchants.
Through his former activity as an aviation draftsman and through the acquaintances of his father-in-law, a private clientele is set up.
Today, his son Jacques and his grandchildren want to maintain this friendly and warm contact with their customers and perpetuate the family know-how.
