The Domaine de Saint Martin d’Agel produces terroir wines that are both intense and delicate on the heights of the Faugères appellation, the first foothills of the Cévennes.
A family estate for more than 8 generations, the Lugagne Delpon family has been developing the family winemaking adventure since 1822. The Estate consists of 36 hectares of vines aged from 15 to over 70 years old at an altitude of 300 m. The terraced vineyards, some of which are very steep, open onto a magnificent panorama made up of large scrubland forests dotted with vines. From different plots you can see the Mediterranean 35 km away, further away the Pyrenees and the majestic Mount Canigou.
Coming from an exceptional schist terroir, the wines of Domaine Saint Martin d’Agel demonstrate a search for balance in the mouth and a beautiful personality in terms of aromatic and mineral expression.
Our ambition is to create several distinct wine profiles. The creation of our wines is orchestrated from a separate vinification of each plot in thermoregulated floating cap vats and by the creation of blending components so that each one fits into one of the profiles of the range. We produce wines in the Faugères appellation, the Languedoc appellation and the IGP Côtes de Thongue.
